To make everyones time here on Ishido much more enjoyable, please follow these simple rules.

Site & Forum Rules - These rules apply everywhere on the site.

(1) Spam is evil: Spamming unsolicited advertisements anywhere on Sensei Ishido's will get you banned. "Vote for me" and "Vouch for me" posts are considered spam.
(2) Your Photos Suck: Unsolicited critiques anywhere on the site is a big no-no.
(3) No personal attacks: There's no need. This isn't a schoolyard. Except for "yo mama" insults. Those are allowed.
(4) THIS IS NOT A DATING WEBSITE! Well, not really...Do not join Sensei Ishido's unless you are serious about participating and involved in the discussions in some way. If you look like you do not belong, you will be banned without notice. Like I said, this is not a dating website.
(5) No outing/libel: While we would like Ishido's to be used as a resource to warn others of problem companies, people, etc. There are always two sides to a story. So we have to prohibit any side from being told. This is for our protection and yours as well. We don't want to have to deal with a libel lawsuit.
(6) Harassment: If somebody is harassing you, we prefer that you handle the situation on your own. Ignoring the other party has proven to be the best method for handling these situations. If it becomes severe, please contact a moderator.
(7) MEMBER DISPUTES: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. Sensei Ishido's reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other Members. Basically, be nice and if you get into a quarrel... take care of it on your own.

Threats of violence: Threats of violence are strictly prohibited anywhere on Ishido's. However, context plays a big part in this rule. If a statement is made in jest or it's just a common phrase (i.e. "Heads will roll"), then no action will be taken.
(9) Private Information: Do not post PRIVATE INFORMATION (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, images) or any other information considered private without the express permission of the individual. You must respect the privacy of other members.
(10) NO PORNOGRAPHY! Pornographic ("adult" or "X-rated") images are not allowed on this site, nor are links to porn sites. We certainly have nothing against those who chose to do adult work, but have decided not to allow this site to be used to network in that industry.
(11) NSFW (Not Safe For Work): Please refrain from posting any NSFW images anywhere in the forums or directly on your profile page. The includes 18+ photos, grotesque rotten.com style photos or anything of the like.
(12) AVATAR: (Your default photo). Again, we would like to keep Ishido's a "work-safe" environment. And since your avatar is open to the public, nudity or any obscene material ("depictions of blood", bondage, etc) is not allowed. If you are unsure if your avatar is acceptable, do us and favor and just change it. If your avatar happens to be borderline and was flagged, please don't try to start a revolution. Just let it be.
(13) The Law: Observe all COPYRIGHT LAWS, TOS's and NDA's when posting copyrighted material. If the material belongs to someone else, credit the original author. Do not post messages that violate Federal, State, or Local laws which include, but are not limited to, anything that violates a copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or is bound by NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). You will not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES. Links provided to locations that deal with any such activity are also expressly forbidden.
(14) Mod Decisions a.k.a Don't cry: The mods are here to keep the site safe, sane, and secure. Please do not harass or intentionally annoy the mods. If they ask you to do something, please do it. If you feel you were the victim of an unjust mod decision, please don't cry about it. It's not the end of the world. These things happen. Just suck it up and move on.
(15) Sue Happy! If you threaten to sue Ishido's or the mods for locking a thread, putting you on temp-ban or any other moderator-related circumstances, you will be permanently banned from the site.
(16) Super Secret Special Rule: If you use the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" or any derivative of that phrase in reference to problems with the site, you will personally be brigged by the site owner
(17) The Catchall: Please do not try to cleverly circumvent the rules listed here. These rules are general guidelines and are very flexible.

(18) No SHOUTING: (Posting in all capital letters) Especially in thread titles. It's hard to read and annoying.
(19) THREAD HIJACKING: Don't do it! Off topic posts should be limited whenever possible. Repeated or egregious violations may get you brigged.
(20) No CUSSING in the thread title: Keep it clean crackers. This includes filtered words like f*@k! Internet acronyms are okay though. WTF GTFO.
(21) Post in the proper forum: Post to the forum that is most appropriate for the topic being presented. Threads incorrectly placed will be moved or locked.
(22) Once you hit the button, there's no going back: Forum threads will not be locked at the original posters request (Unless a mod feels like it). This is unfair to all those that have taken the time to contribute to the thread.
(23) Don't troll: It's just not cool. What is a troll?
(24) Don't feed the trolls: You will find this rule on most every intraweb message board. The trolls thrive on your agitated responses. It's best to ignore them completely and go on your merry way. Don't be the sucker that takes the bait and ends up in the brig.
(25) No noob bashing: It's so easy to do. But be the bigger person and embrace the noob. Give them a chance.
(26) Hate Speech: Offensive terms may or may not be bannable based on context of the sentence. If they were meant as humor with absolutely no offensive slurs meant, the user may not be banned or probated. This rule is completely, 100% subjective and is based on the mod reading the post at the time. Use at your own peril.
(27) Spin off threads are lame (most of the time): a.k.a. Parody Threads. And we prefer them to be funny.
(28) Bump old topics for no reason: And we will bump you to the brig. (You like that? Huh? That was clever, huh?)
(29) Multiple threads on the same subject: Before you make a new thread, please check to see if a similar topic is on the first few pages of the forum. If so, use the existing thread to contribute. We don't need to clutter the forums with 26 different threads on Britney's Spears latest screw up. These threads will be locked.
(69) Crass sex talk is no more: As much as we love to read member's creepy sexual come ons, the "buttsechs" posts are getting out of control and make the whole site look cheap. So while we will still allow the occasional joke or serious sex subject, most all of these posts will be purged.
(30) Unfair ruling: If you feel like you were the victim of an unfair ruling, you may start a CAM. Please provide ALL links and information about the ruling and your reasoning for the objection. And please remain civil, it makes things easier. if you are unhappy with a certain mod, you may request a different one. All threads dealing with briggings, locked threads, member removals or any other similar situation will be locked and asked to be taken to CAM.
(34) Mods have diplomatic immunity: They have to deal with a lot of crap. On the site and behind the scenes. Not fair? Tough titty.
(35) We don't care if other people are doing it, we caught you. Mods can't be everywhere. They don't read every single post. If we happen to bust you for something, please don't complain about others that are doing the same thing. We will end up just increasing the duration of your probation. (Reference: A man was speeding down the road, feeling secure in a gaggle of cars all traveling at the same speed. However, as they passed a speed trap, he got nailed and was pulled over. The officer handed him the citation, received his signature and was about to walk away when the man asked, "Officer, I know I was speeding, but I don't think it's fair - there were plenty of other cars around me who were going just as fast, so why did *I* get the ticket?"
The cop: "Ever go fishing?"
"Umm, yes."

(31) No BS:This is where the "Serious Forums" come in to play. All forums under this header are meant to be used for serious discussion only. Please think before you post and only hit the submit button if you have a well thought out contribution. Junk posts/threads do not belong here. These forums will be heavily moderated by the Forum Mods. If they feel someone is too much of a nuisance, the offender could be banned from the forums.
(32) No drama: Keep the drama out of these forums. If you get into it with someone, please at least keep it civil. Or else both parties will be brigged.

- Shots that focus primarily on the genitals or anus
*NOTE: Ishido staff will be the judge on these photos. If we feel that a photo is too violent or too sexual, we may have it removed. While we would love to give you a clear cut definition on what is appropriate or not, we feel that it is way too subjective. Most everyone will not have to worry about this. But if you test the border too much, we will remove your account.
